Personal protective equipment against falls from a height : Connectors ».

The anti-fall link is equipped with a connector that links to both: to the harness (fastening point) and to the anchoring point.

The connectors can be made directly with the lanyard and/or the energy absorber or sold separately and fitted on using a karabiner.

Iron or steel connectors should be protected against corrosion.

Connectors are openable device used
to connect components. The locking of the connector
is divided into a minimum of two actions
(automatic-locking gate or manual-locking gate)

Different shapes exist to fit to the types of works and environment.
They can be made of galvanized steel, stainless steel, alloy steel…
 
> Static resistance for a basic connector (class B):
- Major axis gate closed and unlocked: 15 kN.
- Major axis gate closed and locked: 20 kN.
- Minor axis Gate closed: 7 kN.
