I am a painter, pattern maker or plasterer; what are the risks?

During my professional activity, I take care of finishing the inside and outside of new buildings or buildings being renovated.
These works are aimed at protecting and/or decorating the supporting elements, walls, floors in various materials (timber, cement) and ceilings.

I therefore operate from floor to ceiling, via the walls and partitions.

I perform insulation works, I partition spaces, I coat rough surfaces to make them smooth, I paint and renovate, etc.

I may perform my activity outside (making facades) but most often I work inside.

Chemical risk
Skin contact, breathing in gas, vapours, particles, etc.
Glues, resins, paints, pigments, varnishes, lacquers, solvents, etc.
I use filtering masks against particles, masks against gas.
protective gloves against chemicals (nitrile, neoprene, P.V.C, etc.).

Risks associated with handling
Cuts, grazes, heavy loads etc.
I equip myself with gloves against cuts, gloves against abrasive products, etc.
I undergo posture training.

Risk of flying particles, dusts
I wear protective goggles, preferably closed (wrap-around goggles)

Thermal risk
When operating on unheated premises
I wear a bodywarmer, a jacket, a pullover, a hood, gloves, etc.

All risks associated with co-activity on building sites
Movements on cluttered floors, noise, etc.
I have the appropriate protective equipment at my disposal..

For safety and hygiene reasons, PPE is always for invidivual use.
