The TDM test for cut (EN ISO 13997) is mandatory for materials that blunt the blade.
Often gloves containing fiberglass.
This test is optional for other subjects.

Force in Newton (N) required to cut the specimen over a 20 mm length by a blade.

2N 5N 10N 15N 22N 30N

«X» means that the glove has not been submitted to the test.

Additional shock protection may be tested according to EN13594: 2002, paragraph 6.8.2.

With a shock energy of 5J, the average transmitted peak value must not exceed 4 kN.

When a glove complies with this test, the gloves will be marked with the letter P after the 5 mechanical levels
(abrasion, blade cur, tearing, perforation, TDM Cut).
