Risk prevention: Capeb signs a new partnership

The Capeb, Iris-ST and Singer® Safety have signed a partnership to support the craftsmen in their safety approach on site. This collaboration will help to raise the awareness of artisanal companies to the prevention of occupational risks by distributing health and safety memos from Iris, but that is not all.

Consultancy and support actions will be implemented to familiarize craft companies with available PPE. A think-tank will be created to identify the needs of VSE and SME building professionals in terms of clothing and personal protective equipment.

In addition, PPE tests will be conducted to provide the most appropriate solutions, combining Capeb and Iris-St with the evolutions of Singer products.

Patrick Singer, CEO of Singer, welcomes this new collaboration: "Always getting a better understanding of the needs and constraints of the building professionals in order to offer them safer, more ergonomic, more aesthetic and more efficient Personal Protective Equipment has been our key concerns during three generations.”

"The realization of this new partnership will allow Singer to adapt, improve, develop and evolve its offer in line with the demands of the field," he adds.

"Professional clothing and protective equipment is an essential lever for improving working conditions. This new collaboration will enable craft companies to offer ever more efficient equipment, offering efficiency, comfort, aesthetics, durability and safety, "said Jean-Jacques Chatelain, treasurer of L'Iris-St.

" The awareness-raising process for the building craftsmen is beginning to pay dividendes. It must be continued and accompanied by providing them with equipment that meets their needs, tested on site. This collaboration will also help to increase the skills of craft companies in prevention, "concludes Patrick Liébus, President of the Capeb.
